Chapter 457

Her acting instincts kicked in instantly. Margaret Sinclair choked back sobs, her voice trembling with emotion. "I just don't understand. All I wanted was justice for the wrongs they've committed. Why do they get to keep operating like nothing happened?"

She wiped her eyes dramatically before continuing. "Plagiarism, worker exploitation, using their power to intimidate—if I stay silent, who will speak up? I'm doing what others are too afraid to do. What did I do to deserve this?"

The live chat exploded—some rallying behind Margaret, others slamming Sinclair Enterprises. Margaret glanced at Olivia, searching for a reaction, but Olivia remained unreadable, her expression cold and composed. A flicker of irritation crossed Margaret's face.

Turning her phone screen toward Olivia and Isabelle, Margaret forced another sob. Olivia immediately stepped in front of Isabelle, shielding her from view.

Through her tears, Margaret's voice cracked with indignation. "The new president of that company? She's a woman, a mother. I thought she'd have compassion. But no—she chose to humiliate me instead. How can one woman treat another like this?"

Olivia's eyes flashed with fury. "Who's the one behaving disgracefully here? Pointing a camera at someone without consent? Who's really using their power to bully others?"

Margaret stiffened but quickly recovered. "If you hadn't pushed me too far, I wouldn't have reacted this way."

Calmly facing the camera, Olivia countered, "Let's set the record straight. Today, I met Miss Sinclair hoping for a civil discussion about why she refused to drop her baseless claims. From the start, she rejected any fair resolution and insisted we abandon our legal rights. All I did was clarify that no bribes or hacking were involved."

She paused, then added pointedly, "Then she accused me of insulting her. But did I? Did I actually insult her?"

Margaret's face tightened. "That's not what happened! You told me to wait, then demanded that if I stayed in Halstead, I had to kneel and apologize to you!"

Olivia nodded slowly, a knowing smile playing on her lips. "Is that so? What a shame this room is under surveillance. Keep lying. I'll just have security pull the footage to clear my name."

Margaret froze. Realizing her mistake, she hastily ended the live stream, her face paling.

Olivia smirked, stepping closer and patting Margaret's shoulder. "I was bluffing. No cameras here, Miss Sinclair. But your reaction says everything, doesn't it?"

Margaret's expression twisted in anger. "Are you trying to provoke me?"

Olivia's tone was icy. "Don't flatter yourself. The company is already in ruins. You know I don't need the money. If it can't be saved, I'll shut it down myself. I don’t want a company like this anyway."

Margaret clenched her fists, defiance burning in her eyes.

Olivia continued, "The reason I met you today was to inform you—I'm filing a lawsuit. You've been spreading lies and damaging my company's reputation through public manipulation."

Margaret's eyes widened. "You're suing me?"

Olivia smiled faintly. "Yes. But don’t worry—I won’t bother you before the court date. We’ll settle this legally."

With that, Olivia took Isabelle's hand and walked away. Watching Olivia leave, Margaret felt a surge of panic—and rage. "You bitch!" she spat, her voice trembling with fury.

The confrontation was far from over.
