Chapter 348

Olivia's lips curved into a gentle smile. "It's just a minor injury. I'll be back to normal in no time."

Sebastian's voice held an undercurrent of concern. "You shouldn't dismiss this so lightly. Proper medical attention is crucial. I know an exceptional physician specializing in such injuries - his treatments are remarkably effective without any side effects."

"He comes from a long line of traditional healers. Though he refuses to work in prestigious hospitals due to his disdain for chasing fame, his skills are unmatched. I can personally vouch for his expertise."

Olivia's smile deepened. "That's very kind of you. Please arrange the appointment at your earliest convenience." Sebastian's face brightened visibly at her acceptance.

"Don't trouble yourself about her leg. She already has plenty of people worrying over her." A deep, measured voice interrupted from the doorway.

Both Olivia and Sebastian turned to see a tall figure in a tailored black coat and signature mask standing at the threshold. His distinctive attire left no doubt about his identity.

"Mr. Blackwood? What brings you here?" Sebastian inquired.

Liam stepped into the room with effortless grace. "The premier suite is occupied, and I find the other rooms unsatisfactory. I came to ask if Olivia would mind sharing her private room with me."

Olivia offered a faint, noncommittal smile but remained silent. Sebastian's expression darkened. "That's hardly appropriate, Mr. Blackwood. Olivia values her privacy. I'll arrange alternative accommodations for you."

Liam turned his masked face toward Sebastian. Though his eyes remained hidden, an icy intensity radiated from his gaze. "Your superior hasn't refused yet. Why are you so eager to speak for her?"

"She's never denied any of my requests before. Do you realize you're creating unnecessary complications for her?" Liam's voice dropped to a dangerous whisper as he issued his warning.

Sebastian couldn't miss the thinly veiled threat. Cold sweat beaded on his forehead as he glanced nervously at Olivia, who remained partially concealed behind the ornate screen.

Rubbing her temples, Olivia interjected, "Sebastian, the auction is about to begin, and you have responsibilities to attend to. Please focus on your duties. Mr. Blackwood and I are well acquainted."

Reluctantly, Sebastian nodded and withdrew, casting one last wary glance at Liam before exiting.

Liam settled himself comfortably across from Olivia and poured tea with practiced ease.

Olivia's eyelid twitched slightly at his casual disregard for formalities.

"You already have my contact information, Mr. Blackwood," Olivia remarked. "If you're here to pressure me about that assignment, a message would have sufficed."

Liam set his cup down delicately, perhaps remembering his mask. "Olivia, you misunderstand. As I mentioned, I intended to use the premier suite but found it occupied. Having visited your auction house in Westhaven, I'm curious to see how the Eldermere branch compares."

A proud smile touched Olivia's lips as she lifted her chin slightly. "You won't be disappointed. We've curated exceptional pieces here. Eldermere's vast territory and rich history have yielded remarkable cultural treasures."

The auction soon commenced.

Initially, Olivia hadn't planned to bid on anything, her primary goal being to observe the auction's proceedings while gauging local preferences.
