Chapter 420
Five minutes later, Olivia's vision blurred. The light drained from her sapphire eyes.
"Olivia, bark like a dog," Victoria commanded with venomous satisfaction.
Olivia obeyed mechanically.
Victoria exhaled sharply, satisfaction warring with vindication in her voice. "Every penny spent on this was worth it."
She regretted wasting the serum on Olivia. Had she known its potency, she would've used it on Daniel. Then perhaps he wouldn't have dared mention divorce.
The Montgomery family butler rushed downstairs. "Miss, that man agreed to your terms - but only if you release Olivia immediately. Otherwise, he threatens police involvement."
"Would he truly risk exposure for her?" Victoria's jealousy flared. How did this worthless woman inspire such loyalty from Liam? Olivia didn't deserve such devotion.
After a calculated pause, Victoria's lips twisted. "I'll record a video. Then release her. Make him wait five minutes."
In the Montgomery grand hall, Liam sat rigid on the velvet sofa, radiating lethal energy. His glacial gaze promised violence.
Though equally furious, Sebastian maintained composure. "Mr. Blackwood, we must exercise caution here!"
"Don't concern yourself," Liam replied, his voice dangerously calm.
Sebastian doubted Liam's restraint. Where Olivia was concerned, the ruthless CEO became unpredictable.
Sebastian sighed inwardly. The Montgomerys had crossed a line. After tonight, Crestwood would no longer be safe for them.
Victoria entered with armed guards dragging Olivia. The captive kept her head bowed, tangled chestnut hair obscuring her face.
Liam's gut twisted seeing Olivia's torn dress. What horrors had she endured? Normally so articulate since recovering her voice, she remained eerily silent.
He surged forward, only to be blocked by guards. Liam's glare could've frozen hell. "Explain this."
Victoria smirked, arms crossed. "I brought your pet. Now honor your promise. Give me your word - how else can I trust you?"
Liam's fists clenched, veins protruding. "State your terms."
"Escort me to the airport immediately. My flight's booked. Once I'm airborne, she's yours." Victoria pressed a blade to Olivia's throat. "Try anything, and my men have orders to kill her rather than surrender her."
The knife bit into Olivia's pale skin, drawing blood. Yet she showed no reaction, her vacant stare fixed on nothing.
