Chapter 295

"Victor, have you lost your mind? Are you that desperate for the scraps I threw you?" Richard sneered, his patience wearing thin. "If you don't leave now, I'll have you dragged out myself."

Fury burning in his chest, Richard stormed to the door and yanked it open—only to freeze in shock.

Behind Victor stood a formidable line of bodyguards, all poised and waiting under his command.

Victor's gaze locked onto Richard's, dark and unyielding.

"Richard, you celebrated too soon."

Richard's smug confidence shattered, replaced by stunned disbelief.

A cruel smirk tugged at Victor's lips, but it vanished just as quickly, replaced by icy detachment.

"Restrain him."

Richard snapped back to reality, rage igniting in his veins. "Victor, have you lost your damn mind? I am the heir to the Winslow family, the CEO of Blackwood Enterprises! Who the hell do you think you are to lay hands on me?"

He whirled toward his own men, his voice a whip of fury. "And you—are you all blind? Get this madman out of here now!"

But his commands were met with silence. The bodyguards didn’t move, their loyalty unmistakably elsewhere.

Richard's face twisted in realization. Even the dimmest observer could see the power had shifted.

Then, Catherine stepped forward from behind Victor.

Though she had long cooperated with Victor, her heart had once belonged to Richard. But his arrogance, his recklessness, his endless betrayals had forced her to reconsider. Watching Olivia’s meteoric rise within the Kensington family had been the final straw—fear for her own future had driven her into Victor’s arms.

After witnessing the opulence of the Kensington banquet held in Olivia’s honor, Catherine had made her choice. Victor offered security, power, and ambition. Richard? Only ruin.

The moment Richard saw Catherine standing beside Victor, his shock twisted into fury. "Catherine?" His voice was a roar, venom dripping from every word. "What the hell is this? You’re betraying me? Get over here now, or I swear I’ll divorce you and cast you out like the traitor you are!"

Catherine flinched, but only for a second. Then, she lifted her chin, her eyes cold with disdain.

"You’re the blind one, Richard. Liam suspected Victor’s true identity long ago. You were just too proud to see it. Do you even know why he shares your name? Your father had secrets, Richard. The Winslow family tree has more branches than you realize."

Richard’s face burned with indignation. "That’s a damn lie! My parents were devoted to each other. I was their golden child. If not for my grandfather’s favoritism toward Liam, everything would have been mine. There’s no way my father had another son!"
