Chapter 371

Olivia didn’t return home immediately, worried her daughter might see her in this state and grow concerned. The car transporting Evelyn arrived first. Even now, Evelyn was still hurling curses.

Amelia, standing beside Olivia, clenched her fists in anger. "Still so arrogant! Olivia, should I teach her a lesson?"

"No." Olivia’s lips curved into a cold smile as she watched another car approach. "Let someone else handle Evelyn. The show is just beginning."

The second car rolled to a stop, and Miranda stepped out, her face pale. The moment she exited, her hands were restrained, and she was dragged before Olivia like a criminal.

"You—Olivia!" Hatred burned in Miranda’s eyes.

"Long time no see." Olivia’s smile widened. "Though I never imagined our reunion would be under such circumstances."

"You conniving witch! What did you do to Victor? Did you threaten him? There’s no way he’d abandon me like this!" Miranda spat.

Olivia wasn’t surprised by Miranda’s outburst. She had prepared for this. Without a word, she played the recorded phone call.

Miranda’s face drained of color as she listened to Victor’s cold, indifferent voice, betraying her without hesitation.

A bitter laugh escaped her lips before tears welled in her eyes. "Five years… Five years of loyalty, and this is how you repay me, Victor? You know Olivia despises me, yet you handed me over to her anyway. How heartless can you be?"

Olivia had no interest in Miranda’s self-pity. She turned to Amelia. "Lock Miranda and Evelyn in the same room. Keep them under strict surveillance. No food or water until the day after tomorrow."

Amelia frowned. "Olivia, Evelyn is vicious. She even tried to attack you earlier—"

"Amelia." Olivia’s sharp tone cut her off, displeasure flashing in her eyes. "Evelyn’s actions were despicable, but we won’t stoop to her level. There are better ways to punish her."

Amelia lowered her head, guilt flickering across her face. "You’re right. I wasn’t thinking clearly."

Olivia massaged her temples. "Just make sure they’re uncomfortable. And hurry—we have guests arriving soon."

Evelyn had screamed herself hoarse during the ride. By the time she was shoved into the empty room, she was exhausted. "Bitch!" she muttered weakly, kicking the door in frustration.

When she turned around, she froze. Someone was crouched in the corner. Recognition flickered in her eyes.

"Aren’t you Miranda?" Surprise gave way to a slow, calculating smile. "So I’m not the only one Olivia locked up. Good. Once we’re out, we’ll make sure she pays. The Hartleys might not be as powerful as the Kensingtons, but Olivia wouldn’t dare commit a crime in Eldermere."

Miranda had no intention of speaking, but Evelyn’s arrogance forced a mocking laugh from her. "Wouldn’t she? You’ve hurt her before. She won’t kill us, but she won’t make it easy either. Olivia never forgives her enemies."

Evelyn’s confidence wavered. Olivia had changed—her ruthlessness was new, and it unsettled her.

Meanwhile, Olivia had just arrived home when a servant hurried over. "Ma’am, your guest has arrived."

Amelia’s eyes widened as she turned to Olivia. "How did you know they’d come today?"

Olivia merely smiled.
